Survey Objectives

The survey mainly aims to display a larger picture about the size and nature of the work of all the organizations and programs that meet the standards and work in the field of mental health and psychosocial support in the West Bank regardless whether they are governmental, private, NGO, international NGO, the United Nations or Private. In light of the lack of data and qualitative and quantitive information, the sub-objectives can be summarized as follows:

1. To provide an updated database to the organizations that offer services in the mental health and psychosocial support in the West Bank.
2. To define the reality of the organizations, services and activities in the mental health and psychosocial support and their geographical distribution in the West Bank.
3. To identify the size of the staff specialized in mental health and psychosocial support and their geographical distribution.
4. To introduce grassroots organizations to the nature of the services and activities and where they are provided in order to access the services.
5. Assisting the mental health and psychosocial support beneficiaries to access the services as quickly as possible.
6. Contributing to developing effective cooperation among organizations working in the field of mental health and psychosocial support and to activate the referral system by providing information on the organizations working in this area.
7. Assisting decision makers in identifying gaps and needs that help in the planning process.
